HELLO JAMIE

Once upon a time, a friend helped me realize that I have a gift.

From singing covers with instrumental accompaniment to composing and performing over 20 original songs and counting, this gift has taken me on a journey beyond my imagination. It has given me a medium through which I can express my inner windings of thoughts, emotions, and spirit. It has helped me connect with some of the lovely people whom I get to call friends and countless others who are moved by the nature of my art. It has taken me to hospitals, nursing homes, coffee shops, bars, backyards, and sidewalks.

To share this gift is one of my greatest pleasures. I hope it continues to give back.

One day I started pooping out poems

The Indian woman told my mother with certainty, “Your daughter will smile from within.” At the time, I did not believe her I thought, “Poor, hopeful, woman. She has no idea who I am. She does not know that I am poison. She does not know that every smile I’ve ever smiled was fake. That they will always be fake. She does not know that there is no hope for me.”
